This project encompassed the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, alongside a Daikin high-wall split system positioned in the downstairs living room.

Precision Electrical & Air undertook a meticulous installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically positioned within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall, using rubber feet for enhanced stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were thoughtfully concealed within ductwork as they exited the ceiling space.

To guarantee efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were established from the indoor unit and safety tray, directing excess water to the external gutter. The installation included careful placement of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow within the system.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was installed, running from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, and included an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was fitted, providing intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with precision. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were utilised to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser mounted on rubber feet to ensure stable operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was created from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, including an NHP isolation switch for added safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, allowing for effective drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent rigorous commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
